Welcome to Big Sandy, TN. Big Sandy is a small, quiet community located in northwest Tennessee's Benton County located on beautiful Kentucky Lake sixteen miles from Paris, TN and less than one-hundred miles from Nashville, TN.

Big Sandy is the home of the annual Water Fowl Festival where thousands of people come each year to win a chance at our duck blind drawing.

In Memory of Mayor - W.L. Waters



Town of Big Sandy - Est. 1903

Aldermen: G.O. Dobson, Jr., Ralph Graham, J.A. Cowell, J.R. Dinwiddie, Ron Lane. City Recorder Debbie Wright, Secretary Bonita Brown Finch.

Since the passing of W.L. Waters, Ron Lane has been serving as the Mayor of Big Sandy.

Big Sandy Spring Festival

The Spring Festival is held the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend in Big Sandy. Last year Big Sandy celebrated its 100th year. This year the Spring Festival was held on May 29th.

Waterfowl Festival/Duck Blind Drawing

Big Sandy is proud to be the host of the Waterfowl Festival and Duck Blind Drawing held the first Saturday in August in Big Sandy.

Big Sandy Music Festival

Ace Cannon Big Sandy is also proud to have the annual Music Fest where such personalities as Ace Cannon, Linda Gail Lewis, the Coles and others perform on a usual basis.
